පලමු මොඩියුලය | Module 1

ඉංග්‍රීසි වචන වල නිවැරදිව උච්චාරණය, අක්ෂර වින්‍යාසය හා වාග්මාලාව සංවර්ධනය කිරීම.

The correct pronunciation and spelling of English words and vocabulary development.

බොහොමයක් සිසුන් ඉංග්‍රීසි කථාකිරීමට මැලිවන්නේ නිවැරදිව උච්චාරණය කිරීමට නොහැකි වීමත්, තම අදහස් ප්‍රකශ කිරීමට ප්‍රමාණවත් තරම් වචන නොමැතිවීමත් හේතුවෙනි.

Most English students are reluctant to speak English because they have difficulty pronouncing English words and they don’t have sufficient vocabulary.

නාම ප්‍රකාශන හා වාක්‍ය රටා
Noun phrases and sentence patterns

ඉංග්‍රීසි භාෂාවේ යම් අර්ථයක් ප්‍රකාශකිරීමට නිෂ්චිත රටාවක් ඇත. සිංහල වාක්‍යයේ වචන ඉංග්‍රීසි වචන වලින් ආදේශ කරනවාට වඩා සිසුන් පුහුණුකල යුත්තේ සමස්ථ අදහස/අර්ථය ඉංග්‍රීසියට පෙරලීමටයි.

There’s always some accepted pattern to express a certain meaning in English. Students should be taught to turn the whole idea/meaning into English rather than replacing individual words in the Sinhalese sentence with English words.

Making conversation

සැලකිය යුතු ඉංග්‍රීසි දැනුමක් ඔබ සතුව තිබුනද ඔබට ප්‍රායෝගික සමාජීය අවස්ථාවන් වලදී ඉංග්‍රීසි භාවිතාකිරීමේ හුරුව නොමැති නම් ඔබට දක්ෂ ඉංග්‍රීසි බස හසුරුවන්නෙක් වීමට අපහසුය.

It is hard for you to become a competent user of English despite having a sound knowledge unless you are familiar with practical English used in different social situations.

හතරවන මොඩියුලය | Module 4

කෙටි ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම කිරීම / කතා පැවැත්වීම
Making brief presentations / mini-speeches

තම ඉංග්‍රීසි භාෂා පුහුණුවීම් ක්‍රියාවලියේ කොටසක් ලෙස සිසුන් පිරිසක් ඇමතීමේ කුසලතාවයන් දියුණුකර ගත යුතුය.

Students are supposed to develop their public speaking skills as part of their English language learning process.

ප්‍රශ්න ඇසීම හා පිලිතුරු දීම
Asking questions and answering

විවිධ සන්දර්භයන් පිලිබඳව ප්‍රශ්න ඇසීමේත් ප්‍රතිචාර දැක්වීමේත් හැකියාව කෙනෙකුගේ භාෂා කුසලතාවයන් තුල වැදගත් කාර්යභාරයක් ඉටුකරයි.

The ability to ask questions about different contexts and to respond to them plays a significant role in the development of one’s language capability.

ඔබ දෙවන භාෂාවක් ඉගෙනගෙන පුහුණුවන විට ඔබ දකින දේ වීස්තර කිරීමටත්, සාකච්ඡා කිරීමටත්, දකින දෙයින් විනිශ්චයන්ට එලඹීමටත් හැකිවීම වැදගත්ය.

It important to be able to describe, discuss and judge from what you see when you learn and practice a second language.

හත්වන මොඩියුලය | Module 7

ඩිජිටල් ඉංග්‍රීසි පරිසරයක් නිර්මාණය කිරීම
Creating a digital English environment

බොහොමයක් ලාංකීය ඉංග්‍රීසි සිසුන් පැමිණෙන්නේ ඉංග්‍රීසි කථා නොකරන පරිසරයන්ගෙනි. එමනිසා ඔවුන්ට 'ඇහෙන දේ නැවත කියන්න' යන මූලික භාෂා ඉගෙනුම් ක්‍රමවේදය මගහැරේ. මෙම මොඩියුලය එම ගැටළුවට සාර්ථක විසඳුමකි.

Most Sri Lankan students come from almost non-English-speaking backgrounds, and therefore they miss the most effective language acquisition methodology ‘Repeat what you hear.’ This module is an effective solution to this problem.
